Rebirth of a Goddess{Lotus Embraces her Destiny} Category: Uncategorized
His blood was scorching yet he tasted like a night sky and hibiscus, she felt the brush of claws against her flesh tingled with magic as she consumed the power inside of him like a woman starved. Groaning as his blood flooded her system twisting and invading every cell seeking to lay a deep claim on her but it was not meant to be for, he belonged to another. A link was made the pattern of his magic impressed upon her, one that would surpass any others no matter who's blood she consumed after this. Pulling her mouth away she licked her lips and as she went to speak the pain hit. Stabbing in her gut had her falling to her knees as she cried out from the pain of it all as she scratched at her flesh trying to remove him from her body but it was hopeless. Tears escaped her eyes as she fell into her back writhing in a pain that was unexplainable to any who did not feel it and while instinct told her to fight and save herself Lotus knew it needed to happen. Razor blades tore through her throat and abdomen. Fire burned in her veins, charring her organs. Melting her bones. Her blood thickened to a black sludge that her struggling heart could no longer pump. The frantic, desperate thuds of her heart stuttered and stilled. For all of her life she had been minor and easily forgotten but, in this moment, she would become the goddess she had always meant to be.
Laying on the ground in his study Lotus Horu, daughter of the titaness Themis and God of sun and kings Horus died Infront of the demon Vinea; His blood burning away her immortality like a breath of wind to a candle.
Her body lay still for a moment before her skin began to dry and pull tight against her bones, her muscles turning to ash as her former body shriveled away. Her once vibrant green locks dulled and fell from her head and her emerald hues lost their luster. Her soul still lingered, tethered to the demon above her as the shell inhabited faded into the ether until only her bones remained. Lotus hadn't known exactly what was going to happen to her but she trusted her sisters above all and their words still rang in her mind.
A few moments ago before the blood touched her tongue....
Lotus stood in her sister's garden, moonlight shone down on them as she looked around blinking as she wondered how she had ended up here when she was supposed to be finalizing the agreement. A river of dappled blue water sparkled in the noonday sun. Multi-colored fish swam in hypnotic circles within its clear depths. Water lilies floated lazily upon its currents. The air was thick with the scent of exotic flowers. Trees, filled to bursting with golden apples, those apples belonged to the gods themselves and were forbidden to anyone else. The apples were said to give one immortality total and complete but for a price.
Looking to the forms they had chosen Lotus could only shake her head, even for her they changed their appearance because like her they could on a whim. One was dark as night, one golden like the dawn, and one white as the snow. Their eyes were all the same shade of milk. There was where the similarities ended. Last time theyβd been repulsive. Now they were beautiful, wearing diaphanous skirts that fully exposed their pert breasts. The black one had hair of raven feathers that tumbled down her spine. The golden one wore a crown of stars. And the white oneβs body pulsed with millions of jeweled, nearly-transparent butterfly wings. βAre you sure you can pay the price? "the three women asked at once with voices as deep as the deepest trenches of Tartarus.
It wasn't their looks that caused Lotus to pause but the question. Could she really embrace the true darkness that she had kept deep within her, the murky waters she kept dammed with her father's light? She would be herself but there would always be an edge to her if she took the plunge and accepted the demon's blood. Steeling herself knowing the days of simplicity were over for her Lotus stood tall nodding "I will pay the price that is asked of me." Looking at one another with sympathy for their youngest sister the three nodded their heads "Accept the demon's blood and be reborn into the goddess you were always meant to be" and with those words Lotus was pushed out of her sister's presence and back into the present.
Dying seriously hurt, she loved pain in her sex and even in non-intimate times but this experience had taken the cake. Lotus didn't know all the details but she knew her sisters had passed to Vinea what was to happen to her bones and she watched as he gathered her remains and transported her to the mortal realm and buried her bones deep within the earth and returned to his realm to wait. How long she lay there she wasn't sure, her soul remained near her body but the days that passed meant nothing as she waited. Gaia had felt the return of one of her grandchildren and had pulled her bones even deeper into the earth, burying her even deeper.
Time moved differently when you were dead. And while her soul remained intact, she was forced to stay near her body so all she knew for months was darkness and silence. Gaia had laid her deep within the earth but had left her there to embrace her own destiny and return to the world but again Lotus just slept. Her powers had been drained for the second time in her life and she had died for the first time, one out of ten would not recommend at all really. She knew her children had felt her die as had her parents, even her Jackal had felt the life leaving her and while she knew he had probably tried to call her soul to him but she was locked to her remains and she knew he would be furious but such was life. She was sure her blacksmith would feel their bond breaking and she hated to hurt him so, he had already suffered so much in his life that for her to cause him even more pain brought her sadness.
It wasn't until the end of the fifth month that she felt the itch, it wasn't a physical one but something was telling her it was time to embrace her power once again and rise. Something deep inside of her told her that if she didn't wake now, she never would again. Waking was a gradual process. The deep darkness of endless sleep lightened slowly to the murk of dreams. βCome." She sent the silent call out like a gentle rippling wave through layers of dirt and stone, tree and cement, layers both natural and manmade. Even the greatest cities couldn't keep her newest children out. They slithered and crawled and killed, just to reach her. Slithering snakes coiled around her bones. Scorpions plated her exterior. The best armor a goddess could have. Cobras. Death adders. Mambas. Knotted together into flesh, their venom pulsing as blood. Her will focused their individual shapes into her physical body. Magic melded them into one. One spirit. One beating heart, pumping venom through her regenerated body. The first step of her return was complete. The easiest, by far.
Hunger raged through her body as she gasped, panting hard with a groan as it struck her hard with need, she wanted blood, sex but here in the dark she would have to settle for something else. "Bite" she rasped with her new voice and thousands of vipers struck her pumping her body full of enough venom to kill millions of humans but it only satisfied her partially. Magic flared from her cries, exploding the bedrock around her as the feel of a thousand suns burned deep within her body. Using the burst of power Lotus lifted herself through the path the snakes and other creatures had created and slowly brought herself back to the surface. She was in a cave, surrounded by snakes of all types and sizes, scarab beetles that had left their dry homes to come to her along with scorpions the size of poodles that clicked and scattered as she stood shakily on her new legs.
Moving slowly out of the cave she looked to the night sky and blinked, she tried to remember who she was, why she was here. Images of green hair and matching flames came to mind so she raised her hand and a large flame appeared tinted green. Cocking her head to the side she tossed the flame into the air where it hovered illuminating her so she could look at herself. As if hearing her desire, the flame morphed to form a mirror and what she saw made her lips curl in pleasure. Her skin seemed hard, yes, but smooth and shiny. Looking closer her skin began to change color, darkening from a pale moonlight to gray and then blackest night. Something moved on her throat, drawing her attention. A scorpion tail unfurled from her neck. A black scorpion shook itself, loosening from its position. Its plated exterior was the same black shiny color as her skin.
A memory came into her head as she continued to admire this new form, it was of her form from her previous life and it was attractive and less "horrifying" as the one she currently wore and while she loved this one, she knew she wouldn't be able to keep it if she planned to return to the ones who called to her. No, this form was special, only a special few would ever be able to caress this flesh and worship her. Concentrating she molded her flesh back to what it had once looked like and looked around her. She was on a remote island with destroyed ruins but they had no call to her. No, she was not meant for this place, instead she closed her eyes and plucked at the bonds there; each of them resonated out into the world and realms around her letting the others know she was once again among the living.
Feeling the pull of the newest of her bonds Lotus let out a low chuckle knowing the demon would be demanding to see his handy work and she had to admit his blood did wonderful things for her even if it did kill her at first. Looking around at the creatures who had come to her call she couldn't just leave them here; they had come to her when she needed them the most so she opened a portal and sent them all to the realm controlled by her oldest daughter knowing her child would look after her mother's newest children until she created a proper nest for them all. Once they were all safe and the others who wished to come to her knew where to go Lotus turned and opened a portal in the mouth of the cave and stepped through, returning to the land of Sorcerer where her guiding hand awaited.
Lotus did not remain in Sorcerer for long, her brief affair with the demon lasted about as long as her marriages which was not surprising to her in the end. They complimented each other well but in the end she knew she wasnβt meant to remain there and instead she needed to leave and find her own way in the world. The Dark Princeβs Realm was her home after all, and only that place would keep her fully fed, so she left her former lover severing their bond leaving her with no bonds to start her life over once again.
This time Lotus Horu would live her life according to her own rules and never again allow another to sway her decisions.
