Behind the Bastard (rules and guidelines)

This version of Mad Sweeney is based on the character from American Gods, with the story continuing beyond the events of the series.
Canon provides the foundation. Roleplay gives us room to see what happens next.

• Humor mixed with darker themes
• Long-term storylines
I enjoy giving scenes room to breathe. Dialogue, action, character reactions and world-building can all be part of the story.
Short replies are fine when the scene calls for them. Longer replies are welcome when there is something worth exploring.
Romance can be part of the story, but it isn't required.
Friendships, rivalries, enemies, alliances, family dynamics, supernatural connections and complicated relationships are all welcome when they make sense for the characters.
Tempest is an established OC connection, but new stories don't have to revolve around her.
Canon characters are welcome. Original characters are welcome. Crossovers and alternate settings can also be discussed when the concept fits the story.
Sweeney may be a bastard.
He may be a god.
He may even be dead.
But he is always a story waiting to happen.
